STEPHANIE L. KIM

Stephanie L. Kim joined Markham Law Firm as a law clerk in 2024 and was promoted to Associate Attorney in December 2024 upon her swearing in to the Maryland Bar.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law, cum laude in 2024. Stephanie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Psychology, which is the same school she went to for law school. Upon graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Stephanie worked as an elementary school teacher, where her passion for helping families in need grew, and looked for something that could help children and families in their difficult times.
During law school, Stephanie worked as a student attorney at the University of Illinois College of Law Family Advocacy Clinic, where she represented clients in abuse and neglect cases under attorney supervision. She also worked at the Office of Cook County Public Guardian for her second-year summer internship, where she assisted cases in divorce and child custody. In addition, Stephanie was 1L, 2L Representative for the Public Interest Law Foundation and a founding member and treasurer of Labor and Employment Law Society at law school.
