Ms. Miller focuses her practice in the areas of complex retirement divisions and the preparation of qualified domestic relations orders while also maintaining a divorce practice.
Ms. Miller has been selected for inclusion as a "Rising Star" by Maryland SuperLawyers Magazine (2019-2024) and DC SuperLawyers Magazine (2019-2023). She has also been selected for inclusion by her peers on the fourth edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® (2024).
Ms. Miller has been selected to serve as the Co-Chair of the Montgomery County Leadership Development Academy Committee for the 2019-2020 year. The Leadership Development Academy engages attorneys in training and activities to develop and enhance their skills as future leaders of the Bar Association. She was a fellow of the Academy from 2017 to 2018 and served on its Committee from 2018 to 2019.
Ms. Miller is is trained to serve as a Best Interest Attorney, Child Advocate Attorney and Child Privilege Attorney for children in Maryland.
In 2020 Ms. Miller had the honor of being selected as a Fellow of the “Bar Leaders” of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation.
In 2018, Ms. Miller was accepted as an Associate Member of the Montgomery County Inn of Court, which is a professional association devoted to developing the ethical and trial advocacy skills of local litigators.
Ms. Miller serves as the Treasurer of the Montgomery County Chapter of the Women's Bar Association, and on its Board of Directors. She also serves on the Montgomery County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education committee.
Ms. Miller has volunteered her time with the Wills for Heroes program, drafting wills, Powers of Attorney and Advanced Healthcare Directives for first responders. She has also volunteered with the Whitman-Walker Legal Pro Bono Name and Gender Change Clinic serving transgender and gender expansive adult and minor clients in correcting their government official documents to match their identity. She has also privately represented clients to seal their name change proceedings on a pro bono basis.
Ms. Miller received her J.D. from the University of Baltimore, School of Law in 2016. Prior to working as an attorney, she worked as a paralegal focusing in family law beginning in 2010.
While at the University of Baltimore, Ms. Miller served as a Staff Editor and then as the Manuscript Editor for Law Forum, the only law school journal focusing entirely on Maryland law.
During law school, Ms. Miller worked as an intern for the Honorable Theresa M. Adams in the Frederick County Circuit Court and as a law clerk for the United States Capitol Police, Office of the General Counsel.
